Reindeer and Santa Claus wrapping paper = snoozefest!

Switch things up this year with your very own DIY photographic wrapping paper.

It’s a gift in and of itself — especially if it’s got your beautiful mug on it.

Your friends and family will def want to save your crafty wrapping. Maybe they’ll even regift it!

p.s. The Photojojo Store is still shipping for Christmas! So come on over!

Why it’s cool:

ingred-smCuz you’re cool! And this is a perfect way to show off all of those amazing pics that have been hiding on your phone or compy all year.

Plus, it’s cheap, easy, and fun to make and receive. Your packages will be the envy of even the most experienced bow makers.

  • Photos to print 8.5” x 11” or larger
  • Printer
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Ribbons/ Bows
  • Awesome presents to wrap

Step 1 – Print your photos

paper-smUse your home printer and regular copy paper. Thinner paper works best and is easy to fold around your package. Photo quality paper will be too thick for nice, smooth wrapping.

Step 2 – Trim the edges of your photo

paint-sm No borders here. Clean edges give your gifts a professional feel.

Step 3 – Measure your package

paint-smMake sure you have enough paper to cover the entire box. Your neighborhood photocopy place will allow you to print 11” x17” or larger from a USB. TIP– print multiples of the same image for larger packages (see step 7). They can be tiled together or overlapped.

Step 4 – Place the photo

paint-smPay attention to how you want your image placed on the box. No point in putting the most awesome part of your photo on the bottom of the box- put it up top where everyone can see it!

Step 5 – Tape into place:

paint-smGo ahead and wrap as you would a normal package, taping the bottom and folding the sides.

Step 6 – Finishing touches:

paint-smAdd a ribbon and voila! A uniquely awesome present that’s just as fun to look at as it is to open!

Step 7 – Bigger Packages?

paint-smNo problem! Tile your image (you can do this in a photo editor by repeating an image in a tile pattern) and print multiple sheets to fit your desired size. Trim the edges and tape the sheets together on the backside before you start to wrap.

Step 8 – Repeat for all your gifts!

Quite impressive, we must say!

Wrap it up!

  • Want to take it to the next level? Print multiple copies of the same image. Line them up carefully so when they’re stacked together– they create the entire image (See photo above.) — Inspired by Gift Couture‘s hamburger wrapping paper.
  • Tile photos of you and a friend throughout the year onto one page for a present wrapped with memories.
  • Scan and print childhood photos of family members to personalize everyone’s gift.

You love love, and you love it big time. So, go BIG this Valentine’s Day.

Print up a 3 foot x 4 foot Engineer Print to show your love BIG time.

Read along to see three fun ways to spread the love to friends, crushes and soulmates using photos!

1. Mailbox Surprise

Just fold up your Engineer Print, pop it in an envelope and mail it to your long-distance love.

Parabo Press’s EPs (as the cool kids call ‘em) are printed on extra thin paper, perfect for easy hanging and mailing too!

Yeah, your print will get creases in it, but we just love the idea of your giftee unfolding and unfolding and unfolding to reveal the biggest Valentine they’ve ever received.

2. Pin the Heart on the Babe

We may have spent a bit extra time on this part of the photoshoot in the Photojojo Office … this game is serious fun! Everyone gave it a go.

Print up a photo of your favorite heartthrob, cut out some hearts, procure a blindfold, give the first contestant a good spin, and watch them just try to find their way to that cutie’s heart.

It’s the perfect pastime for a Galentine’s Party or a cozy night in – just you, mood music, a box of chocolates and an EP of Michael B. Jordan.

3. Surprise! I love you!

Engineer Prints (available in color and B&W) are the perfect width to tape in your
standard door.

Tape your face looking into a room with an inward opening door to give your favorite someone a BIG surprise.

Just make sure your intended recipient is in the room when you stick up that print.
